This year, thousands of Gazan families who escaped unspeakable violence are now stranded in Egypt; hungry, homeless and heartbroken. They abandoned destroyed homes, family members killed by war and lives interrupted by conflict. And so, while in displacement and despair, their Eid comes with a calming silence and sorrow.
